Thanks for this excellent explanation, my electrical problems were more or less identical, when starting, the horn, window motors, heating/airco fan, radio, wipers, all didn't work. Two times, after driving 2-5 minutes, everything worked, the 3rd time driving, problem persisted. So, it looked similar to issues, linked with ignition switch, but in this case it came down to a faulty relay, hidden somewhere below a fuse box, when that was done, all was fine again

To be totally honest I fear those buggers! I think they are hard to replace because of they are hard to reach.

I received my new switch yesterday, installed the new hardware. I drove the car to work this morning and it is running much better than it was,......but....I traveled about 25 miles and SAME ISSUE..... .....I lost my instrument panel, speedometer, tachometer and the ABS and Brake lamp lit up......I read that someone had similar issues and it turned out to be a relay?

Can you provide some detail on this? WHat/where was the relay. Did you lose your instrument panel, speedo and tachometer? My abs and brake light lit up as well...
