1994 Volvo 960 Issues
1994 Volvo 960 Issues
I have a 94 960 and I have tried everything I can. The driver side rear turn signal will not work while I apply the brakes. I don’t know what to do at this point

First of all, I don’t own a 9xx series, so, this advice is rather generic...
If the turn signal works when brake is not applied, issue is likely in rear tail light assembly somewhere. My first guess is a shared ground between brake and turn signal. Take a voltmeter and look across affected turn signal bulb while friend presses on brake. I expect that you have some voltage, but not 12v. Assuming that is what you measure, now take a reading between turn signal bulb ground and chassis ground. Is it greater than 0v with brake applied again? If so, ground wire is at fault and can’t support both brake and signal. Clean ground connections. If you get different readings report back on measurements and we can go from there. PM me if needed, I don’t check this specific forum very often since I junked all of my 240s.
