I replaced the heater hoses on my 98 V70 some years ago using standard heater hose. Cut the ferrules off with a Dremel, and it worked great. Problem is that if you want to do this without kinking the hose you end up doing loopdidupes. Has anyone found a way to make a curve or a 90 degree bend in these hoses? I've thought of trying copper pipe fittings, maybe two 45 degree elbows.
Any clever ideas out there?

I was looking for just such a thing a few days ago. I found purpose made springs for inside hose on Amazon. I think they were from Earl's. I did not end up making a purchase, as I decided to buy a formed hose for what I'm working on.

The auto parts store may have an assortment of heater hoses with formed bends at lower cost than OEM hoses. I found a suitable formed hose for a 240 Volvo flame trap this way.

When I did this heater hose mod in 2015, I just used regular heater hose (Gates brand), the bend was not that bad and it worked fine the way it was modified...

I think it probably depends on exactly what brand of heater hose you get hold of. What I had was quite flexible, though I suspect it was Gates.

Dr. Abscate is working up this very solution, and I agree, it probably depends on the brand of the hose. That stone-age red stuff is too stiff the do anything but straight in.

I bought the do88 hoses way back with another order and finally ended up using them last winter. I'd definitely get them if you buy something from do88 anyways. Very nice hoses and the old ones were really crunchy.
