Just a quick September 2017 note for anyone contemplating replacing the heater core in this series Volvo. Read the How-To's available here at this forum. Re: Bulb Failure Light Flashes With Turn Signals '98 V70
I had a similar problem on my 96 855 with the rear LH turn signal. Oddly, I'd get the bulb failure warning only when the brake pedal was engaged. So, sometimes I would repeatedly tap the brake at an intersection to flash the indicator, or pop into neutral and e-brake.. ANYWYA, I checked, adjusted, a...

Re: DIY: ECC Cabin Temperature Sensor Removal/Replacement/Cleaning
Agreed, wear long sleeves and gloves. Gloves and sleeves for removing the ECC (850 is worse!) and long sleeves for removing the temp sensor as the ECC slot has sharp edges and likes to slice your forearm when reaching through the slot. I wrote something on this a while ago, but this is a better vers...

Re: 1998 V70 Base Automatic CV Axle Seal Passenger Side
- When you order that seal from FCP, you will get Corteco, which is the OEM mfg. I have Corteco seals in my car. Great product. - Search forum but I posted a few photos: put the new seal in EXACTLY as the old seal. Run your finder on the OLD seal to figure out how deep it sits from factory. Then ins...

Re: Mystery oil leak from cam cover
The back plug is for Aussie models - its the engine drain plug. The oil fill is on the bottom of course.

Re: 1996 850R Rims Needed
I'd consider to just get the cheapest set of rolling Volvo wheels-with-tires you can, from the junkyard. That will get it rolling so you can assess the damage. It could take a while to find the Volans you really want to have on the car long term.

Re: ADVICE PLEASE... Should I buy?
I am considering purchasing a 1999 V70 XC, it's got 168,000 miles on it. Looks pretty good. Drove it around the block, sounded great no hesitations etc, but it did have the engine light on. Seller told me he had taken it in to have it hooked up and was told it is the O2 sensor (which he said was no...
