Fuel door hinge replacement?

I had someone attempt to steal fuel from me recently....in broad daylight no less!.....while shopping at a large mall. The fuel door was literally ripped off and tossed (which I found after a short search) but it is completely broken off the hinge, a little black plastic piece. Now, I have tried to ...

I've had a 1999 S80 T6 for about 3 years now and have a sort of love-hate relationship with it. The car IS fantastic; great power decent handling (for a front-wheel drive car especially) a near-unbeatable interior, awesome sound system, and cool exterior styling. The downside is the maintenance cost...

"electrical system service required" message

I had to replace the battery on my 1999 S80 T6 last night, luckily I was shopping at a mall where there was a SEARS. To my utter astonishment SEARS had a battery for my car! I put the new battery in, the car started right up, no problems, right? WRONG! After driving about 25 miles the battery indica...

There are adjuster screws to do this. Pop the hood, look at the back of the headlamp assembly. Right between the high beam and low beam rear covers you will see the mechanism. You can access them from a thumb-size cutout in the sheetmetal above the headlights using a nut driver with about a 6mm(?) t...

S80 T6 stuck in park

Had a weird thing happen the other morning. My '99 S80 T6 was stuck in park and would not allow me to move the shift lever (yes, I know all about the brake pedal interlock, and yes I had the brake depressed) for a LONG time. It wasn't until I moved the wheels with the steering wheel that it finally ...

check engine light

Ultimately I took mine to the dealer where they replaced the MAP sensor.
It was only $300 so that was not too bad.

lol....
Yeah, I know there are a lot of cars that get much better mileage, but keep in mind I am used to a Suburban that gets 17 mpg and an RX-7 that gets 13 mpg.
I get downright GIDDY at 25 mpg! :D

'99 S80 T6 - AWESOME gas mileage!

I just took my first real trip of any length in my T6. In 763 miles of driving I only used 30 gallons of fuel, for a 25.4 mpg average! And this was with most of the highway travel at speeds of 80 to 110 mph. AND....about 1/4 of the total miles was in the Ozark mountains. Needless to say, I a...

I have a '99 S80 T6. I have spent only $300 on it since I have had it.
Seems to me that the cars from '99 were either very good or very, very bad...... :(
