95 850 fuel pump not getting juice but relay output is good?
95 850 Turbo Wagon - US 200,000+ miles (odometer quit working) Suddenly died while running full-speed on highway for about 170 miles in mid-day summer heat - about 100 degrees F. Lost my gas cap about 10 days earlier -- wonder if water made it into the fuel? Friend is an electrical engineer and form...

Re: What tool to use to remove Fuel pump nut
I assume you mean the tank pump. I changed one on a '85 740 once. It was quite a challenge. I think the operation may be similar on your car. If so, I am glad to offer this idea and hope it helps you. If, like me, you are doing your own work to save repair costs on a car that has depreciated down to...

Re: 98 S70 GLT Turbo Valve Job - Need Manual
What is "increased head pressure"? Do you mean compression? And, if so, what would have caused it to increase if the head was serviced correctly?

Re: 98 S70 GLT Turbo Valve Job - Need Manual
Thanks, Lee. Maybe a new head is the way to go. I do use KC Autosport and have no complaint with them at all. When they fix a Volvo it's FIXED! Their expertise is worth their rate, but, unfortunately, my car is not. I am very confident of their diagnosis - I paid $93 for it. But they can't estimate ...

98 S70 GLT Turbo Valve Job - Need Manual
My volvo repair guys say I have two burnt exhaust valves in one cylinder on my 98 S70 Turbo. It runs on four but, of course, not anything you can put up with. I decided no way on paying them $1400 labor on top of the unavoidable $700 machine shop charge to fix the head. I've never gone this far into...

Re: Hood release
I have exactly the same problem - talk about annoying! Changing to that two-latch system was a big mistake - some engineer must have had too much time on his hands. Thanks for the suggestions, folks!

Re: 850 chocolate milk on oil dipstick
Volvo changed the design on the stick and the tube slightly because they kept wiggling out. If you try to buy a new dipstick you probably have to buy and install the new tube that goes with it. So - be careful with those old ones if you don't want to have to change them out, folks. If you can fix it...

Re: 1995 850GLT: Front end Accident, they think its totalled WTH
You have a lot of good advise here from the other forum members. I went through a situation almost exactly like yours a couple of years ago and learned a lot from it. It is hard to be sure from your pictures, but if the only things damaged on your headlamps are your front lenses, you should be able ...

Re: need help... what is this hose called?
Those things only cost about $8 at the dealer if memory serves. Particularly in hot weather, I think you want to have a hose there that works. Your chip MIGHT not burn up but, why take a chance? It's only $8. The computer it cools costs a lot more than that.
