Re: 2001 V70 T5 Should your suspension struts turn?

Well I have recently fixed the creaking noise by replacing the spring seats, together with the strut bearings. I feel the IPD "heavy duty" seats I fitted 14 months ago were of inferior quality. My invoice for those parts showed that the seats were of taiwanese manufacture, not what I expec...

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Should your suspension struts turn?

Yep, I have the same issue with my '98 S70. Started just after replacing the spring seats with HD ones from IPD. Will be pulling that side of the suspension apart next week (noise only comes from the left hand side) to investigate. Seems to have gotten worse as time went on too, over 14 months. Very...

yes i just looked again at my copy of VADIS and there are 2 temperature sensors part 36 = 9145736 and part 41 = 3524841. I have part number 9145736 in my hand now and I can tell you it is not the internal cabin temperature sensor!!!

What more can I say?

Cheers, Phil.

MIJ the part number 9145736 is not the cabin temp sensor but in fact the outside air temp sensor. Last year I ordered 9145736 from FCP to find it is the wrong part. The correct part number is 3524848, and when I contacted Nick (from FCP) about a swap he said that 3524848 is showing up as no longer a...

Sorry to hear about your problem, and I hope you don't think I am being a PITA but for others reading about this that have yet to tackle a timing belt change - one doesn't need to remove the crankshaft pulley to change the timing belt. Regards, Phil

Could be that dirt or grit has found its way between the speaker cone and the magnet as it had done in my case. Can be repaired - see the link below to my fix, done 3 years ago and still both speakers are working fine.

that's interesting - I don't know about the version I have - I purchased my copy on Ebay from a fellow in the U.K. , I assumed all versions contained basically the same info. Cheers, Phil
