Buying advice 1987 Volvo 240
I've had a 2000 V40 for a while and have worked on it extensively. I'm totally a Volvo guy now, and there is a 1987 240 sedan with new paint available near me. What should I look out for with this car? It's got 126k on it and new paint, and that's about all I know other than the AC is not currently ...

Re: Head Gasket Replacement 2000 Volvo V40
Whew. Looks like my fatalistic thinking got the best of me. The compression test came back fine and they said the head gasket seemed fine, so maybe we're looking at an injector acting up.

Head Gasket Replacement 2000 Volvo V40
2000 Volvo V40 (4 cylinder) I had a radiator go on me about two weeks ago, and after replacing all that, I started getting a misfire on cylinder 3 in the mornings after sitting overnight. I pulled the number 3 plug and there was a little oil on the threads. Ignition coils are fairly new. I'm having ...

Re: Windshield Washer check valve repair
I bypassed the check valve a while back after having broken it during diagnosis. Now that I'm replacing my pump and have a new check valve, it's been so long that I have forgotten which port the "in" hose goes to. Can you remind me?

Re: Removing the Bumper to Replace Washer Motor???
Whew, thanks. I had looked up the procedure and really did not want to have to go to all that trouble of removing the bumper to replace an $11.00 part. I had planned to start with the splash guard and then see what I could see, so thanks for the confirmation.

Removing the Bumper to Replace Washer Motor???
I'm going to be replacing the windshield washer pump motor in my 2000 Volvo V40 this weekend. Has anyone else done this? Do I really have to remove the bumper? Hoping there is a hack to get around that.

Re: Srs System Safety - Removing The Steering Wheel - 2000 V40
So on the 2000, you definitely have to remove the steering wheel. The turn signal lever has two screws on the back that you have to remove, and the only way to get to them is to remove the steering wheel and the mount that the washer stalk and turn signal stalk are attached to. The procedure I linke...
