2001 S40 Sunroof leak
Rain leaking around Sunroof. Comes in faster than drain hole can empty it from metal tray beneath glass. Any known fixes. I would assume it is from the gasket shrinking over 14 years.

#1: Test drain capacity. They "silt up" over time, with a restricted opening on the lower end of the "A" pillar drains.
#2: How is the opening in the roof? On my car, a PO tried to cure the sunroof leak by smearing silicone sealant around, creating an irregular surface that leaked much worse.
#3: Replace the flexible gasket. I believe it's a standard repair part.

Tons of stuff on this. Take off pillar cover, cut tube and run a hard line up and down. Add a clear plastic tube with ID about same as factory tube OD. Use some silicon to seal up. Take off large plastic cover that is over wipers and snip the ends of the elbows. I found this was way easier than removing the elbows, especially on passenger side.
I would remove all silicon that you found added.
