97 850 NA injector seal question

Thanks, but like I said, there are none to lose! I have pulled the intake anyway to look at the PCV system due to oil leaks, that is when I found these were either missing or never fitted. Based on what I have found in the PCV system, chances are the former!!

I have ordered new ones from FCP.

It does seem pretty precautionary, but the way I think is if they designed it like that there is most likely some good reason. I just like having everything that would have came stock on it. Plus they are cheap and in my case I took the injectors out to have them cleaned anyway so I figured why not? Added bonus for the "look" now because they are blue instead of the original black

The foreman said he thought they were to try to align the injectors straight. I think it is likely to ensure a tight fit of the injectors between the rail and the intake manifold and also ensure the injectors sit at a consistent height in the air-flow in the intake.

Either way they are going back on!
