CD trouble with your SC 901?
Try different blank CDs? Clean the lens?
My question may be stupid, but where is the lens ? I can’t see it.. I have the radio on my table, I removed the top cover and I don’t see anything that looks like a lens. Do I have to dismantle something else to have access to the lens or I’m just blind and I don’t recognize the lens ?
matthew1 » Burned CDs made in iTunes worked in my 816 (or whatever the top-end is for ’97 850s, I forget) right off when I tried back in 2000. I was very surprised.
Try different blank CDs… there are two formats, one is 700MB and the other is a bit more. Brands may make a difference too.
BEJinFbk » These HU’s are 15 year old tech. They aren’t “update-able”. They only play “audio” CD’s.
Once an SC-900/901 leaves the Alpine plant, that’s it. Mp3 and other formats won’t read.
Just burn your disc in basic CD format, be sure you finalize and you should be good to go.
