Goodbye S60, 2001-2025 RIP

The workhorse Volvo S60 is dead. Volvo announced the 2025 model will be the last for the storied S60, so if you’ve wanted a brand new S60, now is the time to run, not walk, to your Volvo dealer.

Born in 2000 as a 2001 model year car and riding on the famous P2 platform, the S60 has been a pillar of Volvo’s lineup, serving at times as the middle child between the smaller S40/V40 and larger S80, and later as the entry-level model when the S40/V40 were cut.

According to Autoblog, the last North American S60 should roll off the assembly line in Ridgeville, South Carolina, any day now to make way for a line retooling and subsequent production of the all-new EX90 EV SUV.
