Let’s talk iPhone Integration
Very Simple, Very Effective iPod Integration w Factory Stereo
I hate the wire that hangs out of my factory stereo from my cassette adapter to connect my iPod. So I turned the cassette adapter upside down (side B), feed the wire through the cassette slot, out the back of the stereo and down the center console. No more wire hanging out!

I did some digging around, and I found the connectors for the rear of the SC-XXX series radios.

I’ve read some conflicting reports that some boxes require an “always-on” 12V, some boxes require a “switched” 12V, and others require both!
Based on the wiring diagram, it looks like:
1) Switched from ignition – Pin 1
2) Always on – Pin 3
3) Switched from Radio (via power antenna) – Pin 5
Running the converter box off the “Switched from Radio” makes the most sense. The converter box would come on only when the radio is on.

if you cut the wire from your cassette adapter and find the solder points on the small circuit board that the head is mounted on, solder the wire there and feed it out the back in the same manner. save your wireless cassette adapter to activate the cassette player. the sound quality is much better since you don’t have to worry about the tape heads lining up with each other.
