The New V90 Wagon is on Dealer Lots… It’s Not Special Order Only

According to Jalopnik and confirmed by an Auto Trader search, the special-order-only new Volvo V90 is not actually a special order car. As I type, there are 30 V90s sitting on dealer lots across the country.

Back in January, I posted about the unfortunate special order-ness of the new V90, given that Americans seemingly to a wo/man dislike non-crossover wagons, or just LOVE the higher seating position and faux-offroading scent that envelops crossovers.

Well it seems like some dealers are getting a message that wagon love is back.

My two cents is that the love is back because of, among other things, performance is enhanced on non-crossover models because there’s typically less weight to move and they sit lower to the ground.
