A topic in the Volvo Forums is currently getting a nice round of opinions: Volvo Design Disasters. These are things that Volvo engineers designed after lunch, apparently… things that don’t make sense. I started it off with the infamous Volvo 850’s window switches living directly under the cupholders, almost as if they were intended to be a catch for sticky soda pop, hot coffee and other switch-killing liquids. Also, the infamous electronic throttle module installed on Volvos 1999-2001. That one is legend.
