Volvo EX90 Feature Overview

Volvo’s new $76,695 MSRP flagship electric SUV is due this year and is a premium vehicle that blends luxury with cutting-edge technology. One of its features is the safety suite, which has long been a Volvo hallmark. The EX90 is equipped with an array of advanced safety technologies, including a comprehensive set of driver-assistance features such as collision avoidance, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. Additionally, it boasts a unique run-off road mitigation system that can detect if the vehicle is about to leave the road unintentionally and intervenes to prevent it.

EX90 Interior

Beyond safety, the EX90 offers an elegant if sparse interior that reflects Volvo’s understanding of luxury. The cabin is crafted with high-quality materials, and attention to detail is evident in the interior’s design. Inspired by the Scandinavian living room, the EX90 cabin showcases a modern and uncluttered design with Nordico or Wool Blend upholstery options. The EX90 also incorporates a Google-powered Android Automotive screen/nav/infotainment stack which is a user-friendly interface that controls various vehicle functions.

Unfortunately, most of these controls are accessed via the touchscreen — which is no better than using a phone — because buttons and knobs have been banished from cars’ interiors by Volvo and almost every other automaker. It’s less expensive that way. That’s why they do it.

EX90 Performance

Every EX90 comes in a dual-motor AWD flavor. However the entry-level Twin Motor model makes 402 horsepower while the Twin Motor Performance variant makes 496 horsepower. Acceleration should be more than adequate even though the EX90 will almost certainly weigh a good deal more than its predecessor, the XC90. Volvo says the Twin Motor model should be capable of hitting 60 mph in 5.7 seconds while the Twin Motor Performance should do it in 4.7 seconds.

Design & Environmental Concerns

In terms of design, the EX90 boasts a sleek and contemporary exterior that captures the essence of Scandinavian elegance. Yes, Volvo’s excellent Thor’s Hammer LED headlights return for this all-new SUV, having debuted in 2015 on the SPA Volvos.

The EX90 places a strong emphasis on sustainability, aligning with Volvo’s commitment to environmental responsibility. The use of eco-friendly materials in the interior, along with efficient powertrains, reflects Volvo’s dedication to reducing its ecological footprint.
