Check out this cool Radio Integration
I found an old thread about patching in to piggyback on the tape signal lines of an 850’s head unit. I believe it was an HU-813.
Instead of using a cassette adaptor (which degrades the audio signal) and instead of tapping into the CD-Changer inputs (which costs over $100), the idea was to solder a stereo jack into the lines that send pre-amp signals out from the tape head and which feed into the on-board amplifier. In this way, you can connect using an iPod or MP3 player headphone output and it will go cleanly into the on-board amp, bypassing the tape adaptor and magnetic tape head.

Volvo Cars Get Insane Mileage
Irv Gordon bought his Volvo P1800 new in 1966 and clocked a mind-blowing three million miles on it! This may be on the extreme side, but high mileage Volvos are not at all uncommon. There’s a high mileage Volvo club that offers badges for each level:
- 150,000 Miles = Bronze Membership
- 300,000 Miles = Silver Membership
- 500,000 Miles = Gold Membership
Ever notice how you see more older Volvos still running fine and on the road today? Now you know!
