iPD Teflon/SS Brake Lines for P1 & P2 Volvos

Ten percent off through April 3. At $162 (after 10% off), they’re certainly not inexpensive. If they’re worth the money is dependent on you the driver, and if they fit into your cost/benefit calculus.

If you’ve got your original brake lines on your 1990s or 2000s Volvo, it’s time for new ones. We recommend OEM Volvo or aftermarket stainless steel (SS) braided brake lines. Here’s how to install new brake lines on an 850 and S70/V70/XC70 model years 1998-2000. Another extremely well documented 850/S70/V70/XC70 brakes, pads and brake line replacement tutorial.

Teflon - stainless steel braided brake lines

One of the shortcomings of the genre is that most manufacturers do not use OE grade components to build these performance lines. This isn’t really a concern for safety but more for longevity. In many areas the road chemical situation can make your beautiful new lines look like original equipment in just a single winter. It is not uncommon to see your new brake lines destroyed at the first caliper service.

ipd’s high quality braided brake line kits are made to solve these issues. The Dupont Teflon inner and tightly woven V2A stainless wrap provide a burst strength of 15,000 psi. This is wrapped with a weather resistant outer shell to extend the lifespan of your new lines. All fittings and crimps are machined from stainless steel billet instead of the common carbon steel. These lines are rated from -100f to +500f and comply with all relevant FMVSS testing standards with DOT labeling.
