EX30 Is Toast In The USA
It was less than 24 months ago that my son and I went to the EX30 kickoff party at my nearby Volvo dealer… and on Monday Volvo drops the news that they’re dropping the EX30. What?!
I couldn’t even test drive one at that party in April 2024… they didn’t have any in stock or as demos. That’s how new the model was then (and still is in my mind).
The reason given was economic factors pushed the price up in the US, combined with a multi-year, pernicious downswing in EV popularity. See more about this and reactions in my RIP EX30 post. My sister just bought one not three weeks ago.
The new EX30 Cross Country is likewise terminated in the US. Your last day to order one is Friday. Existing orders will be filled. Other markets are unaffected.
