Pale yellow Volvos are a bit of a unicorn. Every decade or so it seems Volvo releases a model in this color. In 1995 Volvo released the much-sought-after 1995 850 T-5R in this color, paint code 607. Then in the early 2000s Volvo painted some V40/S40 cars pale yellow, paint code 248.
Here’s a 240 wagon — crashed on an episode of “Cops” by a dirtbag — in that same yellow shade. The police stopped him with stop sticks, doing a job so well they even punctured the tire of one of their own. Enjoy this episode below, hosted on YouTube and queued up right at the moment he pulls the injured 240 off the road.
Scumbags, in the future, just pull over. Wrecking a beautiful Volvo wagon just isn’t worth it.

I’d guess this is an early 1980s 240, and it might be paint code 152… but I’m not sure. If you know, please comment. You might also find it called “cream yellow”.

Years later the yellow245 is running around north Florida with a bw55 and an 88b230 swapped in running great with a full 1.75 inch straight pipe and small muffler.
Huh? How do you know?
