Sagging Bumper Fix for V70 and S60 Volvos

ejsimcox » I have a 2005 S60 R. I ran her front bumper up on a parking stop. When I backed up, the bumper cover popped off on the passenger side. I have tried to re-attach it, but it doesn’t seat properly.

Do I need to pull it off all the way and then put it back on?

Are there clips holding it on?

I could really use some diagrams and advice on how to make the repair.

I have attached some pictures.

Volvo V70 and S60 Sagging Bumper Cover Fix

  1. Use a torx to dial the screw (and the circled plastic bit) toward the front of the car.
  2. Using your hands, push the bumper back up, slotting the tabs and lip under the headlight where they go.
  3. Pull the bumper back so that the tabs of the piece circled in the photos “catches” the catch in the bumper. The tabs (arrowed) will find their place on the bumper.
  4. Use the torx to dial the screw so that the circled plastic bit moves toward the rear of the car, snugging up the bumper.
