Volvo Car Corporation, or Volvo Personvagnar AB, is a Swedish premium automobile manufacturer established in 1927 and headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, where it operates out of the VAK building. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group of China.

Volvo Car Corporation was originally founded as a subsidiary of the ball bearing maker SKF. When Volvo AB was introduced on the Swedish stock exchange in 1935, SKF sold most of the shares in the company. Volvo Cars was owned by AB Volvo until 1999, when it was acquired by the Ford Motor Company as part of its Premier Automotive Group. Geely Holding Group then acquired Volvo Cars from Ford in 2010.

Volvo Cars manufactures and markets sport utility vehicles, station wagons, sedans, compact executive sedans, and coupes. With approximately 2,300 local dealers from around 100 national sales companies worldwide, Volvo Cars’ largest markets are the United States, Sweden, China and Belgium.[4] In 2011, Volvo Cars sold 449,255 cars globally, an increase of 20.3% compared to 2010.

The MPG on my 96 850 recently went from about 25 to around 10. I took into a dealer where they recommended cleaning the throttle body, installed new mass air meter and installed new plugs – $512. Mileage was still bad, returned to dealer they recommended new distributor cap, rotor and new spark plug wires for another $250. After about 4 hours, they returned and told me that both front and rear O2 sensors were bad to the tune of another$500+. I blew up and suggested that they were just guessing as to the problem but to fix it and I would worry about who was going to pay later as I had to drive about 800 miles to my new job the next day. Well, no surprise, they refuse to do anything about it. How do I get in touch with a Volvo Zone Service Manager or someone from Volvo to complain and see what they suggest?

Case 220413-000194
See below. I have recieved horrible service by Paris. I will forward this same email to all Volvo customer email accounts. Below she says,

“I just received an update that Volvo will be providing rental reimbursement in the amount of $85.00 per day until the vehicle has been repaired.”

Vehicle was in repair for 15 days. Paris lied and is now saying Volvo will not reimburse for the time my vehicle was not in my possession. She has also been nonresponsive for over 2 weeks after I provided receipt on rental. The rental was only a portion of the 15 days. However, I was without a vehicle for greater than the rental agreement and I had to undergo a massive inconvenience while my wife and I carpool. I am paying $850/mo for a lease. Half of that time I did not have my vehicle because Volvo failed to provide an alternative when the issues with the vehicle was caused by the faulty nature of the vehicle itself, as confirmed by the alignment issues and verified by Volvo in Mobile. This vehicle has been a nightmare.

I request a response by a supervisor or manager. I asked Paris 6 times to speak to a manager or supervisor and was refused that opportunity every time. She also refused to give a reason why and refused to provide any reference to a policy.

I was also informed by Paris that within a few days (later defined as 7 business days, which is not a few), that I would be reimbursed for $595. This is insufficient and does not cover the full 15 days that I was without a vehicle I was paying for.

I am requesting the promised $85/day for 15 days ($1275). I plan on filing a Better Buisness Bureau complaint and initiating legal assistance with my local military JAG office. I also plan on sharing my horrible experience on every social media outlet.

I do not understand the mistreatment I have received during this whole ordeal. It has been quite an extreme stressful time for my family. No help has ben provided. I have been very respectful and patient up to this point. All that is out of the question now and Paris has driven me to fight as long as it will take to make this situation right. My family and I are relocating overseas and I will have some time off. During that time off, I am now forced to dedicate my time to fixing the horrible customer service received by Volvo. I will be very glad to leave this lease and never buy/lease a Volvo again (after being a 3x customer).

Please respond as soon as possible. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Mr. Conrad
