S80 Sunroof Won’t Close

Problems With Your S80 Sunroof?

Not sure if you got this figured out but using the panic button doesn’t set of the siren for your alarm. It only sets off the horn. What you have to do is roll down your driver window, then close door set alarm with your key fob. Then reach through window and open the door. This will set off the actual alarm, which has a different pitch. If you don’t hear anything but your lights are flashing then it’s your alarm module. This is what happened with my 2002 V70. Flashing lights+no siren=No sunroof!

Bonus! More on the Volvo S80

Volvo’s S80 flagship debuted for 1999 but was never a top contender in its class. It has lots of interior room, a comfortable ride, and fairly nimble handling. Some controls were awkward but somewhat improved for 2005. The standard engine was a fairly lively 2.9-liter inline six-cylinder. The turbocharged T6 offers quick and effortless acceleration. An AWD version with a turbo five-cylinder engine debuted for 2004. Only the underpowered 5-cylinder remained for 2006.
