XC60 Light Switch Knob Positions

“Auto” gives you automatic headlamp dimming when selected but on each key cycle you have to click lever to go to high beams for this feature to be effective again. It defaults off when you turn ignition off (like rain sensor wiper feature).

bravekai2008 » On my 2013 XC60, the light switch knob (which turns on the head lights etc, on the lower left of the wheel) which has 4 icons, from left to right it is “0”, then an icon with two light, then “AUTO”, then an icon with a single light, at night when the whole dash board lights up, all the icons and the “AUTO” all lights up, but the “0” doesn’t, I just want to know is this normal, “0” is the position where you turn all lights off, maybe volvo purposely doesn’t lit it up so driver don’t select that option? Please help.

MVS Volvo Forums contributor Jimmy57 explains what’s what with the light switch in XC60s.

“0” is off and if the selection on Sensus screen in not ticked off for daytime running lights then everything will be off.
