Experiencing 2000 S70 No Start ?
Forum user tjmonjay writes “I was having the same symptoms with the missing ets, cel , and oil lights. may have found the problem. there is a common ground wire that is held in place by the passenger side hood latch. took it off , cleaned it up , reconnected and she started first try. like nothing was ever wrong. Only because I removed the entire box surrounding the computers did I just happen to see this corroded wire, although you do not have to remove the cover to access it.”
About The S70
When 1996 was coming to an end, a new Volvo model was introduced, the Volvo S70.
The Volvo S70 was developed from the successful 850 models, which had been on the market since 1991.
The exterior of the new S70 showed softer styling than its predecessor, but still carried a strong Volvo identity. Inside the car, the dashboard was new as was most of the interior. In the area of safety a number of improvements were made.
The Volvo S70 was produced until 2000.
