How to Push in the Rubber OEM Engine Mounts

Today I replaced the firewall mount as well as the upper engine mount. The upper engine mount that I had replaced originally was the incorrect diameter and easily moved sideways within the bracket. I was not happy and got another one from my supplier.

How to push in the rubber (not poly) upper torque mount bushing.

I ordered a new upper engine mount and installed it with no problem, only to find that the circumference was out of spec and the entire bracket could move from side to side.(this is why the installation was easy, it just slipped in) I was not satisfied and the supplier gave me a new mount.

picture1289yy5.jpgI noted that the mount by the fire wall is also looking tired and needs replacement. Is the replacement procedure similar too the larger upper mount ?

I have reviewed the posts about upper engine mount replacement and have come to the conclusion there must be another way, or am I out to lunch here .Can anyone offer some pearls of wisdom once again.
