Let’s talk Polyurethane upper engine mount
It is easy to twist the mount during install so pay attention to its position when you do, That will insure that no stress or movement of the mount will exceed its travel limit.
1) After tightening, The Washer’s edge should be parallel to the aluminum mount insuring a perfectly straight alignment when at rest
2) The upper and lower outside corners of the Square aluminum washer should be Resting against the shoulders of the black standoff with equal distance on top as well as the bottom. This will insure a straight alignment of the rubber mount within the housing.
3) The steel washer easily rotates when installing it, dropping either corner inside the black standoff and twisting the rubber insert, creating undue tension and pressure.
