Fast LPT — 2007 XC70 Meets a Stage 3 Tune!

To start on the project, we headed over to Portland Speed Industries’ Dynojet chassis dynamometer to get some baseline numbers and to verify that all the stage 0 items had been completed. Starting with a solid foundation is key; it is absolutely imperative to go through the vehicle and make sure all wear items are in OEM new condition or better before trying to make additional power. This is so important to the performance of these cars that the Volvo community has coined a term for it: Stage 0. Thanks to diligent maintenance by CKA motorsports the XC arrived prepped and ready for some upgrades!

Power Steering Noise At Low Speed 2004 V70

Last Saturday I flushed my power steering fluid with Pentosin CHF202 and the noise has gone away.
CHF202 is the new an improved version of CHF 21S, and it is cheaper too. I bought it at O’Reilly for $16 per bottle (1 liter).
Flushing this system can be done by one man, but if you have an extra pair of hands available use them. When flushing, the fluid comes out very fast and it is only 1 or 1,5 liters you have to get out. It just took a few seconds. You need to have 2 new bottles of CHF 202 ready to fill. All together I used 1 and 3/4 of the new CHF 202.
